“…the function of imagination is not to make strange things settled, so much as to make settled things strange; not so much to make wonders facts as to make facts wonders.”
― G.K. Chesterton, The Defendant

Based in NW Metro Detroit in Michigan, USA. Born in Los Angeles, California on April 5, 1988. Focused learning about the science of nature and society and spent most of my time reading encyclopedias of various topics especially entomology and botany though struggling through academics. Lifetime goals shifted from becoming a bioengineer in mycology and virology to graphic designer where I took some higher education classes for, and here I am right now; a comic artist and illustrator.

Lover of bugs and critters, robots, science fiction, psychedelic designs, darkest of blacks, and games.

Beginning of everything.

Started using ink for lineart, and Prismacolor markers to color. Cut-and-pasted scrapbook paper to use as texture and patterns. Xacto knife skills excelled while drawing, not so much.

First exposure to Photoshop 6. Showed intense interest in digital art and graphic design. First experience in building a website.
Used the mouse to color-in scanned lined art, or visited oekaki boards.

Saved up and finally invested in a Intuos 2 tablet.

Gains vector art skills.

Posts webcomic, Verardi Famiglia. Begins leaning more towards graphic design. Gains web coding and FLASH animation skills while art skills plummeted. Started college at Art Academy of Design and Technology majoring in Digital Media and excelled in vector art and graphic design. Gains skill in computer hardware.

Starts considering being a freelance illustrator on the side. Went to Youmacon. Begins using Corel Painter.

Went to Ohiocon and ACen conventions. Took few small personal commissions and learns it’s not my forté. Begins using Paint Tool SAI. Exited out of Art Academy and starts attending Art Institutes of Michigan Detroit majoring Web and Interactive Media. Learns video and audio editing using Adobe Premiere. Tablet changed to Intuos3.

Really starts making artworks using 100% digital mediums. Exited out of Art Institute.

Decided to seriously persue the comic and graphic novel career. Begins life drawings, studied story writing and anatomy, color theory and basics of art.
